What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, smartphone or tablet) when you visit a website. They are used to remember your preferences, keep you authenticated and ensure browsing security.
MirrorBuddy uses exclusively essential technical cookies for service operation. We do not use profiling, advertising tracking or marketing cookies. We do not install third-party cookies for commercial purposes.
Which Cookies We Use
MirrorBuddy uses two categories of cookies:
- Essential Cookies (Necessary) - Cookies strictly necessary for MirrorBuddy operation: user authentication, CSRF protection, accessibility preferences, cookie consent and theme preference.
- Analytics Cookies (Optional) - Planned: MirrorBuddy currently does not use analytics cookies. Metrics are collected server-side via Vercel Analytics without installing cookies.
MirrorBuddy uses the minimum number of cookies necessary for service operation. We do not use cookies for advertising, commercial profiling or cross-site tracking.
Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)
Essential cookies are necessary for MirrorBuddy's basic operation. They do not collect personal data and cannot be disabled without compromising the site's core functionality.

Nota tecnica: Note: All MirrorBuddy essential cookies are HTTP-only (not accessible by JavaScript) for enhanced security, except for the consent cookie and theme which need to be read by the client.
Metrics and Analytics
MirrorBuddy uses Vercel Analytics to monitor website performance. Vercel Analytics operates server-side and does not install tracking cookies in the user's browser.
Analytics Data Collection
We also use Sentry for error and performance monitoring. Sentry collects only technical data (stack traces, performance metrics) without personally identifiable information.
- Server-Side Collection - Analytics data is collected server-side, without installing cookies or tracking scripts in your browser.
- Aggregated Data - All analytics data is aggregated and anonymized. It is not possible to trace individual users.
- Technical Data Only - We collect only technical metrics (load times, errors) and not personal or behavioral data.
- GDPR Compliant - Vercel Analytics and Sentry are GDPR compliant and do not require consent for technical cookies.

Cookie Management
Managing Cookies in the App
You can manage your cookie preferences directly in MirrorBuddy settings, under the Privacy section. From there you can revoke consent for optional cookies at any time.
Managing Cookies via Your Browser
You can manage and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent MirrorBuddy from functioning properly.

If you disable essential cookies, some MirrorBuddy features (such as authentication and accessibility preferences) will not work properly.
Third-Party Services
MirrorBuddy No advertising tracking cookies MirrorBuddy does not use third-party cookies for advertising, commercial profiling or cross-site tracking. We do not share data with advertising networks.
The following third-party services are used by MirrorBuddy for platform operation. None of them install tracking cookies in your browser: None of the services listed above install tracking cookies in the user's browser. Data is processed server-side in compliance with GDPR.:
- Vercel - Vercel (hosting and server-side analytics, no tracking cookies)
- Supabase - - Supabase (PostgreSQL database, no client-side cookies)
- Azure OpenAI - - Azure OpenAI (maestro conversation processing, no cookies installed)
- Resend - - Resend (transactional email sending, no cookies installed)
- Upstash - - Upstash (Redis cache for rate limiting, no cookies installed)
- Sentry - - Sentry (error and performance monitoring, no tracking cookies)
Google Drive (optional) Google Drive is used only if the user voluntarily chooses to connect their account to upload documents. In that case, Google's cookies apply according to their privacy policy.

Cookie Duration
Cookies used by MirrorBuddy have different durations depending on their function:
- Session Cookies - Are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include the CSRF token for form security and the tier simulation cookie for administrators.
- Persistent Cookies - Remain on your device for a predefined period (from 30 days to 1 year). These include accessibility preferences, cookie consent and theme preference.
You can clear all cookies at any time through your browser settings or from the Privacy page in MirrorBuddy settings.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this cookie policy to reflect changes to our services or regulatory requirements. Any changes will take effect upon publication on this page.

- Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app banner and, if necessary, by email.
